'Alex Hardy used to be the biggest thing in breakfast radio in Australia, but now he and his long-suffering producer, Lou (Louise) Carpenter, have been reduced to a late night dating show called 'Lovelines'. One night, in a desperate bid for ratings, Alex announces a competition for 'The Worst Catch of the Night' and his fragile world, filled with 60's soul music, threatens to fall apart. Or does one of Alex's tragic callers hold the key to his redemption?
