BiographyHistory

Nadia Jamal was born in Australia but raised in a traditional Lebanese Muslim family. After completing her education she joined the Sydney Morning Herald as a journalist in 1997. She has held numereous posts with this newspaper since then including the education and urban affairs writer, Night Chief of Staff and Deputy Chief of Staff. Jamal has since studied law, learned to swim and participated in the US State Department's inaugural Edward R. Murrow program for journalists. (Source: Saxton Speakers Bureau)
