As at 2017, Dr Allison Craven was a senior lecturer in the College of Arts, Society & Education. Her research focuses include fairy tale and gothic narratives, second-wave feminism, and film; in the latter area, she has focused particularly on Australian film and cinema (especially Queensland, as in her monograph Finding Queensland in Australian Cinema), place and location in film, and the intermediality of cinema and film.
