BiographyHistory

Janet Shaw began writing during her first, and last, year of secondary teaching in 1981. She published short stories for children and adults in anthologies and magazines and won the Writers For The Young Fellowship in 1983; the Circular Head Arts Festival in 1987 and the Warburton Arts Festival Literary Competition in 1990. Shaw also worked as an actor, labourer, researcher and taught creative writing.
