BiographyHistory

Edith Weereratne lived in Sri Lanka for several years until she moved to Melbourne, Australia. Her works reflect the lives of people in Melbourne, and also include some reminiscences of Sri Lanka. A number of her stories were broadcast over the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation (SLBC) overseas service. Weereratne obtained degree in Linguistics and German from Monash University in 1978.
