BiographyHistory

L. V. Kepert was educated at Melbourne Boys' High School and subsequently the University of Melbourne, where he completed a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Diploma of Journalism. He gained a cadetship with the Melbourne Argus in 1937, and then briefly worked at the Brisbane Courier-Mail, before joining the Sydney Morning Herald. In 1960 he was appointed features editor at the Sun-Herald, where he later became editor. He retired in 1980.

Kepert had a longstanding interest in literature and the arts, and was perhaps best known for his book reviews.
