BiographyHistory

During the Great Depression, Elizabeth Marrington spent three years at Government Aboriginal Reserves doing voluntary work in association with the Aborigines Inland Mission of Australia. She trained as a psychiatric nurse in Orange, and worked at Sydney hospitals. Her husband was G. J. Marrington of Taromeo Homestead on the Blackbutt Ranges. Elizabeth Marrington retired to Buderim and published short stories, poetry and newspaper articles.
