BiographyHistory

Encouraged by W. Hart-Smith in 1976, Morris started writing poetry while in Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital's psychiatric ward; Let Me Learn the Steps was published in the following year. Morris has written plays for young people, as well as for mainstream theatre and television. The mother of five children, she has lived in Western Australia for some years. She was an entrant in the Queensland Premier's Literary Awards in 2000, and her unpublished manuscript submissions to this are held in the Queensland State Library (John Oxley Library) and Queensland Performing Arts Centre (Gladys Moncrieff Library of the Performing Arts).
