BiographyHistory

The English publishing house Routledge was known as Routledge, Warne and Routledge between 1858 and 1865, reflecting a partnership made up of the founder, George Routledge, and his son Robert, and brothers William and Frederick Warne. William Warne died in that year, and with the departure of Frederick Warne, and the arrival in the company of another Routledge brother, Edmund, in 1865, the firm became George Routledge and Sons.
