BiographyHistory

Cartoonist William Edwin Pidgeon, or 'Wep', had his first comic strip published in the Sunday News in 1925, and worked for more than 20 years with the Sydney press. He also illustrated many books, among others John O'Grady's They're a Weird Mob (1957), and he won the Archibald Prize in 1958, 1961 and 1968.
