Guthridge is an artist who grew up in Melbourne. She studied art, and then taught for three years before moving to Italy, where she lived for ten years with her husband. When she returned to Australia she began illustrating children's books for the ABC and has since worked with many Australian and overseas writers. Guthridge works with various media, and has produced children's book illustrations, maps, editorial illustrations, architectural renderings and court portraits.
