Giulia Majeroni, niece of Italian actress Adelaide Ristori (1822-1906), wrote her only recorded novel in Bathurst, New South Wales, after the death of her husband. She died in 1908 at her residence in Carlton, Victoria, and her ashes were buried next to her late husband in Waverley Cemetry, Sydney.
'Majeroni stood at the centre of a circle of popular Italian entertainers in Melbourne. She and her actor husband Eduardo Majeroni had been "one of the most brilliant ornaments of the Melbourne stage" during the 1880s. She had visited Melbourne triumphantly in 1875 with her aunt's globe-trotting theatre company, and returned with her husband to form their own theatre company in 1883. Majeroni retired from the stage following her husband's death in the early 1890s, but emerged from seclusion upon the establishment of the Società Dante to become director of its drama programme.'
