BiographyHistory

Ezra Thomas Shorley was educated at the village school at Renhold, Bedfordshire and arrived in Queensland on 2 March 1888. Known to have lived in both Brisbane and Rockhampton his poems were published in various regional newspapers and magazines. He also collaborated, as lyricist, on at least 35 published songs beween 1900 and the early 1940s. Quite a few of these were published by Shorley himself.
