BiographyHistory

Meg Rutherford is the daughter of Norman (a grazier) and Joan (Bassett) Rutherford. She attended the National Art School, Sydney, 1955-58 and the Slade School of Art, London, gaining a Diploma in Fine Art, 1961. Rutherford describes herself as a sculptor who 'strayed into the book trade'. She has lived in England.
