BiographyHistory

Henry Thornton Craven was an English dramatist who lived in Australia from 1854 to 1857. He opened the Little Lyceum Theatre in Sydney and performed at Her Majesty's Theatre in Melbourne. Some of his own plays were written and produced in Australia.

Thornton's works produced in Australia, either before or after his residency in the colonies, include The Post Boy (Melbourne, ca. September 1866) and the pantomime Harlequin King Blear (1854).
