BiographyHistory

James Griffin was Professor Emeritus of the University of Papua New Guinea and senior Research Fellow in Pacific History at the Australian National University. He was also a contributor to the Australian Dictionary of Biography.

  • Griffin's main non-AustLit work was Papua New Guinea: A Political History (with Hank Nelson and Stewart Firth) 1979. He was editor and contributor to several volumes including: A Foreign Policy for an Independent Papua New Guinea, 1974; Papua New Guinea Portraits, 1978; and Tourism and the Future, 1977.
