The May 1933 issue of The Home includes a brief reference to Mr Bernard Angus Watson, a 'young bookmaker...not one who backs horses, but books', who 'sailed by the Orama to Australia...Mr Watson is one of the principals of the Essex Street Publishers, Ivor Nicholson and Watson. He comes to enquire into the publishing and book selling activities of Australia and maybe to find Australian writers' work for presenting to English readers.'
