BiographyHistory

Macmillan Education Australia, part of the Macmillan Group founded in Cambridge in 1843, is one of the leading educational publishers in Australia; their publishing program caters to the needs of Primary and Secondary Schools.

In 1945, it claimed that both education and general literature books had been brought out by "the Australian branch" (Australian Writers & Artists' Market 153).

Palgrave Macmillan is responsible for the publishing, marketing and sales of vocational, academic and reference titles in Australia. As well as their own Macmillan Group lists, the firm represents a variety of other academic text and trade publishing houses. ( Source: company website: http://www.palgravemacmillan.com.au/)
