After working in a variety of jobs in the hospitality and cosmetics industries, Heather Jones became a lecturer in Communication at the Queensland University of Technology. She has been writing for the stage since 1985 when she won the Warana Australian Play Award and has been both actor and director as well as playwright. Her plays develop the comic possibilities in a given situation. She has also written a number of textbooks for Hong Kong, China, Taiwan and Singapore.
