Michelle Taylor grew up in Brisbane and has lived in Darwin, Glasgow, Suffolk, London and Portugal. She has written and published poems for children for many years and is a regular invitee as a performer and workshop leader in schools and at literary festivals.

As a qualified occupational therapist, Taylor has worked extensively with people with mental and emotional health problems.
