BiographyHistory

Jim Howes has been a publisher and has written in the areas of natural history, travel and children's literature. In addition, he has written a number of books for children about species conservation and has also contributed to the Macmillan Australia Children's Encyclopedia. Apart from information books for young people, he has written numerous readers for primary school age children for the Southern Cross Macmillan series. Howes has also written the text for a photographic book about Aboriginal art, Little Bit Long Way (1986).

He writes with Ninon Phillips and Neil MacLeod as Ninon, Neil and Jim.
