BiographyHistory

In addition to the indexed works, R. Carson Gold also wrote a number of locally-produced comic books, including the very popular Devil Doone, 1946-1969. He endowed the FAW R. Carson Gold Memorial Fund Short Story Competition.

  • Gold also wrote short stories for the 'Youth' section of the Australian Journal. In the May 1931 edition he entered a story titled 'Blood Will Tell' which was awarded 2nd prize. The postal address given at the end of the column, was Nathan Terrace, Yeerongpilly, Brisbane, [Queensland]. (p. 640)
