Percy Umfreville Henn, clergyman, successful teacher and headmaster in England and later in Western Australia, was educated at Christ's Hospital in London and Worcester College, Oxford. He was ordained priest in 1891 and appointed chaplain a Hurstpierpoint in 1892. In 1900 he decided to spend some time in Western Australia as a missionary. Henn stayed for a short time at Kalgoorlie and then for several years at Geraldton as a rector. When his missioary term was over in 1905, he returned to England, but came back to Perth in 1909 at the invitation of Bishop Riley, to become headmaster of Guilford Grammar School which flourished under his administration. After his retirement in 1925 he moved back to England, but returned six years later to become the founding warden of St George's College, University of WA. He retired permanently to Perth in 1933.
