BiographyHistory

Stephen Irwin grew up in Brisbane and worked as an actor, including a small role on the TV series Sea Change, before turning to writing fiction.

Irwin is also an established screenwriter and director with many broadcast documentary credits. He began writing short stories and creating short drama films in 2004. His short-form stories and films have won many awards and competitions across Australia and internationally, including Best Short Film at the London International Festival of Science Fiction and Fantastic Film and the Katharine Susannah Prichard Short Story Award.
