BiographyHistory

Luis M. Garcia came to Australia with his family in 1972. After completing his secondary education in Sydney, he undetook tertiary studies and went on to a cadetship with the Australian Financial Review. He later worked for the Sydney Morning Herald before becoming press secretary to Liberal Party politician, Kerry Chikarovski. After Chikarovski lost the leadership of the New South Wales Liberal Party, Garcia joined the Sydney-based communications company, Cannings.
