He heads down to the stream on Farmer Brown's property, where he is surprised to meet up with his friends Splodge the Kangaroo and Wally the Wombat. Blinky Bill wants to fish in the stream, but his friends say that he won't be able to catch fish from the bank. They decide to borrow Farmer Brown's boat. The three friends set off in the boat, and strife ensues.
