BiographyHistory

After finishing high school, Constance Mackness received one of just three scholarships for women to the University of Sydney. She graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Arts degree with first class honours in English, History and French in 1902. She taught at Presbyterian Ladies' College (PLC), Pymble in Sydney and later became the founding principal of PLC, Warwick, Queensland, a position she held from 1918-1949.
