Porsche Herbert-Funk was born in Australia, and spent her early years in Australia, the USA, Trinidad and Tobago. She received a Batchelor of Creative Arts and Law from University of Wollongong in 2000. She has been on the editorial committe of the journals Figments and Scarp.
