BiographyHistory

Agnes Macleod was a frequent contributor of short stories to newspapers, including the Argus, the Australasian, and the Evening Standard. She took over the women's page of the Bulletin when Louise Mack left in 1901, writing as 'Akenehi'. In 1911 she married William Macleod (q.v.), manager of the Bulletin. She was a leader in various philanthropic movements and was particularly interested in the Prisoners' Aid Society and the Sacred Heart Hospice for the Dying.
