Kit Denton, as well as being a writer, was a radio and television announcer and interviewer. After arriving in Western Australia, he briefly tried goldmining in Kalgoorlie. An ABC announcer from 1951 to 1965, he also worked as a film production manager and director and was a TV scriptwriter. Denton's non-fiction works include For Queen and for Commonwealth (1987 ) and Gallipoli: One Long Grave (1986).
