'Anniversary takes place during the twenty-fifth anniversary dinner of Russel and Georgia, a prosperous, cultured business couple, when their opulent home is invaded by Alison and Trish. Alison subdues the couple violently, simultaneously subjecting them to a vicious verbal dressing down. But Trish has other plans and a covert agenda. She leapfrogs over Alison’s criminal cruelty to take control. Through a journey of dark comedy, sexual exploitation and psychological violence, Russel and Georgia’s perfect life, perfect home and perfect love are destroyed.'

Despite the 'disguise,' the daughter eventually reveals herself as the king's daughter by showing some unusual abilities, and the misunderstanding is cleared up.
