BiographyHistory

Dirk Strasser has lived most of his life in Australia. He studied German and Mathematics at Monash University, Melbourne, where he graduated with first class honors in German literature, and was awarded the Goethe Prize. He then completed a Diploma of Education, and for a number of years taught Mathematics and German at secondary school level. He writes in the genres of fantasy and science fiction, and his short stories have been published widely in magazines and anthologies in Australia, England, Germany, and the United States. He has co-edited the magazine Aurealis : Australian Fantasy and Science Fiction, which he founded in 1990 with Stephen Higgins, and he has also has co-written a number of secondary school mathematics text books.
