BiographyHistory

'Frances Campbell was the wife of Howard Douglas, a cousin of the Duke of Argyll, who lived in Queensland; she commenced writing at the suggestion of the Duke and was sometime a London journalist' (Morris Miller p. 691). Miller descibes her as a 'doubtful Australian author'.
