BiographyHistory

John Weldon a freelance writer had lectured in professional and creatice writing at Victoria University. He was also researching the effect of digitisation and social media on narrative texts. His first novel Spincycle was published in 2012. Weldon had also spent two years as the inaugural media manager for the Western Bulldogs Club, where the club had won the AFL Media Association award for the Club with the Best Media Relations. Weldon had also reported on Australian Football League for the Times for several years, and regularly contributed to the Footy Almanac series. In 2009, Weldon had chaired the comedy debate: 'Sport in the New Literature at the Melbourne Writers Festival.
