BiographyHistory

The Lifted Brow is an independent publishing company located in Melbourne. As well as publishing The Lifted Brow literary journal, they also manage Brow Books.

In 2020, the organisation's board was replaced by an interim board, amid allegations of misconduct. A pause in public operations followed, as the interim board re-evaluated the organisation. In April 2022, a newly appointed board announced that a governance policy, human resources policy, and code of conduct had been drafted, and that The Lifted Brow would resume publishing in the near future, pending sufficient funding to pay an editorial board.
