BiographyHistory

Television script-writer, script editor, and producer, who specialises particularly in animated children's television programs.

Connolly's work as a script-writer began with FarmKids (2007), an animated series that explored the irony of farm animals growing up on a petting zoo in complete ignorance of actual country life. In his subsequent works, he combined more than one role: Connolly was the co-creator, script-writer, and story editor for the animated SBS program Monster Auditions and the animated series The Dukes of Bröxstônia and CJ the DJ.

Connolly also worked as script editor on British/Australian/German co-production Me and My Monsters, created by Claudia Lloyd and Mark Grant, in which an Australian family move to the UK, only to find (Jim Henson Company) monsters in their cellar, as well as working as Australian script editor for the animated series Pearlie (and Australian-Canadian co-production) and Dennis & Gnasher (an Australian-British co-production). Both of these latter productions were co-produced by Sticky Pictures, the company for which he works as Head of Animation.
