BiographyHistory

'Noeleen Nugari O'Keefe is an Aboriginal woman who was born on Alexandria Station in the Barkly Tablelands (Northern Territory) in the 1960s. Raised within the Wambaya culture, she grew up watching the Elders hold corroborees and ceremonies and she listened to their stories from a long time ago. In the 1980s, she moved to Tennant Creek where she was inspired to write about what she had learnt when she lived out bush...'
