BiographyHistory

Helene Richards is a freelance writer, editor and publisher who has co-authored two non-fiction books: Bullying in the Workplace: An Occupational Hazard (HarperCollins 2002, HR Publications 2010) and Money Management for Women (UNSW Press, 1999). Her short stories, poetry and articles have been published in professional journals, anthologies, newspapers, magazines and online, and she has won, or been placed, in various writing competitions. Helene is a volunteer tutor in creative writing for her local University of the Third Age (U3A) and has taught various aspects of writing at community centres. She was Secretary of the Society of Women Writers (Victorian branch) and editor of their monthly newsletter for two years, is a founding member of the Williamstown Writers' Group, and was on the organizing committee of the Williamstown Literary Festival for six years. Helene has three children and two grandchildren, and lives with her husband Colin in Williamstown.
