'Rosemary Young was appointed National Director of Frontier Services, a provider of aged care, health, family and community services, and pastoral support to people in remote Australia, in 1999 after serving as National Community Services Manager from 1995. She came to Frontier Services from a variety of roles in two state governments with experience in the portfolios of Health and Community Services, Industrial Relations, Justice, Water Resources and Aboriginal Affairs.
Young has served as a member of the Board of Governors of the Australian Council of Social Services for some seven years, was a member of the National Reference Committee for UnitingCare Australia since its inception as Uniting Community Services until mid 2008 and represents the Uniting Church Frontier Services on the Australian Council of the Royal Flying Doctor Service. She has lived and worked in rural and remote Australia and been part of a wide variety of community based organizations.'
