BiographyHistory

Carina Thorne was the only child of journalist Ebenezer Thorne. From the early 1890s, she contributed to a number of newspapers and magazines in Australia and New Zealand, collecting some of these in Leaves from the Australian Bush (1912), her only volume of poetry. The Brisbane suburb of Carina is named after her.
