'Crito' responds to an editorial comment in the Sydney Gazette of 22 August, particularly epithets relating to the Rev'd John Dunmore Lang in his conflict with William Watt. 'Crito', clearly on the side of Lang, concludes that Watt's conduct exhibits a 'masterpiece of impertinence and scurrility of low vulgarity, overwhelming egotism, and, intolerable assumption'.
