BiographyHistory

Les Moutons Electriques was founded in Lyon in October 2003 André-François Ruaud and Davenas Olivier, with the help of a collective comprising writers, translators, graphic artists and people interested in literature of the imagination. The publishing house releases two types of books - novels and anthologies, along with essays on aspects of contemporary popular culture. The Red Library collection is dedicated to popular literature, that which mirrors popular culture such as television, films, comics, manga etc. It also publishes the semi-annual anthology Fiction, and the annual Yellow Submarine magazine.

  • The name "Electric Sheep" is taken from Philp K. Dick's story Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, which was made into the classic sci fi film, Blade Runner.
  • This company should not be confused with the English cinematic magazine also called The Electric Sheep.
