Les Hetherington, MA, B.Litt, is a retired public servant. His interests include Australian involvement in the South African and First World wars and Australian military regional and local history from the gold rushes to the Second World War. He is the author of articles published in the Journal of Australian War Memorial, Wartime, Sabretache (the journal of the Australian Military History Society), the Canberra and District Historical Society Journal, the Newsletter of the Wagga Wagga and District Historical Society and Murrumbidgee Ancestor, the journal of the Wagga Wagga and District Family History Society.
