BiographyHistory

Bert Jackson a Senior Elder of the Spinifex people, and was born and raised near the border of Western Australia and South Australia. He describes himself as a Spinifex person, and his language is Pitjantjatjara. Like other Spinifex people his life was traumatised by the Maralinga atomic tests, and with his family entered the Cundeelee Mission, Western Australia, some during the 1950s or 60s.
