BiographyHistory

Alex Adsett is a publishing consultant and literary agent who started her bookselling career at Pulp Fiction Bookshop in Brisbane. She moved to London where she worked at the Murder One bookstore, and later for Simon and Schuster Publishers. On returning to Australia, she worked for three years in the Rights and Contracts Department of Penguin Books in Melbourne, before moving to the Contracts Department of John Wiley & Sons Australia, Ltd. Adsett has managed Alex Adsett Publishing Services since 2008, working with publishers including the University of Queensland Press, Sleepers and the Small Press Network. Adsett has served on the Management Committee of the Queensland Writers' Centre since 2010. In 2012, she joined the Board of the Small Press Network and the Management Committee of the Queensland Literary Awards.
