Paul Murphy initially studied cinema at the University of Melbourne but changed to professional writing at Box Hill TAFE after one year. He has worked with Pan Macmillan as a marketing co-ordinator and as an independent video editor and motion-graphics designer. Murphy has created promotional trailers for books including The Very Bad Book by Andy Griffiths and The Blood Countess by Tara Moss.
