BiographyHistory

When she was a child Liz Macnamara lived on a dairy farm near Leeton, New South Wales. Her MA thesis, completed at the University of Sydney in 1998, was entitled Representations of the Family in Modern Australian Political Rhetoric. Macnamara's work at the University of Sydney engages her in research about labour history. She won the Leichhardt Poetry Prize in 1999.
