BiographyHistory

Kym Bonython, AC, DFC, AFC, was described as an entrepreneur, pioneer and adventurer. A member of one of South Australia's pre-eminent families, Bonython served as a pilot during World War II. He was a jazz enthusiast and served on a range of South Australia's cultural bodies. Bonython also raised cattle, worked as radio announcer and was a motorbike rider and racer.

Bonython received a state funeral in South Australia on 29 March 2011.
