In 1999 the company merged with Constable and Co, a publishing house founded 1795 by Archibald Constable (and which later became Sir Walter Scott's publisher). As Constable and Robinson the company continues to publish non-fiction books under both the Constable and Robinson imprints. Long regarded as a specialist publisher of crime fiction, Robinson began to boraden out into romance fiction in the early 2010s.
