BiographyHistory

Stan Parkes was a principal of a school in the Cessnock district of New South Wales. He also served as a teacher-manager of the Brungle Aboriginal Station, near Canberra, where he studied the half-caste community, under the guidance of A. P. Elkin, Professor of Anthropology at the University of Sydney. (Source: Rorabacher (ed) Aliens in Their Land, 1968)
